Day 1: Cape Town arrival
Upon arrival in Cape Town, meet with your local representative for assistance to Europcar to collect your car rental vehicle and drive to the hotel. Check in and freshen up. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Cape Town
Enjoy breakfast at leisure; thereafter you have the day at leisure to explore the city in your self-drive vehicle. You can drive to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope said to be the romantic meeting place of the two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian. Flank the cold Atlantic Ocean en-route to Hout Bay. Once a fishing community now one of the most popular residential areas, the harbour still has a charm of days gone by. You have the option to enjoy a half-hour cruise to “Seal Island” or the fish market “Mariners Wharf”. You can continue alongside the Indian Ocean and stop to see the Jackass penguin colony which has become well established, at Boulders beach near Simonstown.

Day 3: Cape Town
Enjoy breakfast at leisure; thereafter you have the day at leisure to explore the city in your self-drive vehicle.

Day 4: Cape Town to Stellenbosch to Hermanus
Leaving Cape Town you will head out to the majestic University town of Stellenbosh in the heart of the Cape Winelands. 
Stellenbosch is a place of great beauty and culture that's steeped in South African tradition. The Stellenbosch Wine Route is arguably the country's most famous, and the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin area includes 106 cellars - most of which are open to the public. Enjoy a long day's wine tasting, and wine buying and you'll sip more than our great South African wines - you'll taste our South African way of life. Continue your jouney to Hermanus

Day 5: Hermanus
Hermanus is built along the shores of Walker Bay near the Southern most tip of Africa. Magnificent mountains watch over the town which is home of the Southern Right Whale. (Seasonal: July - November). Nature lovers from all over the world visit Hermanus to view these magnificent creatures from the best land based whale-watching destination in the world.

Day 6: Hermanus to Oudtshoorn
Heading up toward the Garden Route through majestic farmlands and quaint towns you arrive in Oudtshoorn the Centre of the Klein Karoo and 'ostrich-feather capital' of the world. In addition to these large birds Oudtshoorn is famous for being the closest town to the natural wonder of the Cango Caves. Oudtshoorn is a lush oasis catering for adventure, cultural and geological tourists and is one of the most-visited towns in the country.

Day 7: Oudtshoorn to Wilderness
Today you will head for the village of Wilderness, passing through the beautiful Kaaimans River Pass. Wilderness, a charming world of lakes, rivers, fens, estuaries and beaches, lies against a backdrop of lush forest and lofty mountains and heralds the beginning of the Garden Route.

Days 8 & 9: Wilderness to Knysna 
A short drive up the coast you will head towards Knysna, the heart of South Africa's famous Garden Route. Knysna is the unofficial capital of the Garden Route, surrounded by forests, lakes, mountains and sea; this ever-popular tourist destination is a charming town of legend, history, arts and crafts catering to visitors every need or fancy. Knysna is situated on South Africa's only National Lake, which is also the country's largest permanent estuary. Knysna is a nature lovers dream.

Day 10: Knysna to Addo Elephant National Park
From the Garden Route you head towards the Addo Elephant National Park for a spot of game viewing in ""Big 5"" country. The Addo Elephant National Park is South Africa's second largest National Park and is malaria free. Game drives into the Addo Elephant National Park can be booked through your accommodation. (If you prefer African Budget Safaris can pre book your safari on your behalf.)

Day 11: Addo Elephant National Park to Port Elizabeth
From the Addo Elephant National Park you will head towards the "Friendly City" of Port Elizabeth, a major seaport and tourist destination along the dazzling shores of Algoa Bay.  Port Elizabeth is a sea sports mecca. This is where your tour ends. Drop the vehicle at Port Elizabeth airport and take a flight back home.
